#MondayMotivation: Attitude gives you strength

Happy Monday!  This post is coming at you very late because I haven’t been feeling well today.  Since I was busy this weekend, I planned on working on my blog today but my body had other plans.  I didn’t want to miss out on a Monday Motivation post for you, even if you don’t get it until Tuesday.

The right #attitude can take you many places while the wrong attitude can stop you in your tracks. Where will your attitude take you today? #quotes #quoteoftheday #quote #mondaymotivation #monday #fitfluential #fitfam #motivation #inspire #sweatpink #webe

Attitude is everything. Attitude will change everything. Don’t let a bad attitude stand in your way of accomplishing your goals. After Fitbloggin, there was a session on mental health and the speak told us to believe what will make you happy. If you believe those thoughts, then you will be happy. At first I thought that was odd because we might be lying to ourselves if we keep those thoughts.

But really if we believe what makes us happy, we can move on and we can process so that we can achieve our goals. A positive attitude will take you a long way while a negative attitude will stop you in your tracks.

It’s kind of like if you look good, you feel good and you’re going to do better work. That little spark of positive attitude can be the domino effect to the rest of your life. There is always a chance that something great will come from the right attitude. I don’t think we can say the same about carrying around a chip on our shoulders.

Sometimes it will can be hard to keep the right attitude but always believe in the positive and see where it takes you.

Because the sign is the most important part of the picture. It's called "drunk sign." I was only going to walk 3 miles today but somehow that turned into 5 miles. I just love being outside and the time just kind of rolled by. My #walking is getting slower
This weekend was pretty good. On Saturday, I wanted to go for a walk. I planned on a 3 mile walk that turned into 5 miles. I don’t know what it is about being outside, but I just enjoy it so much. Time does fly when you’re having a good time and listening to podcasts. I wanted to take a picture with the fallen sign.  I don’t know why I thought it was so amusing but I did…and it made my day.

Happy Birthday to my momma! #birthday #olderandwiser #smile #family #familygoals #happybirthday
And it was my mother’s birthday. We went to Texas de Brazil and enjoyed the meat extravaganza. Well, I really didn’t eat that much meat but the salad bar was amazing. It was nice to spend time with family and celebrate her. There was cake, but I passed on it. I’m not enjoying the sugary treats so much during pregnancy.

My pledge to my blog readers

My pledge to my blog readers

It’s time for me to face reality.  I’ve failed all of you.  Once upon a time I planned out blog posts.  I talked about relevant topics.  I actually put the effort in and then something happened.  I started traveling more and doing quick fixes.  I stopped actually making time for the blog in respects to self-improvement, eating and just overall fitness.  I wish I could say planning was the problem, but I know I felt like I lost my voice along the way. Willie and I gained a lot of publicity in a short period of time, again, which kind…

What’s the first step to weight loss?

What’s the first step to weight loss?

I’ve been getting a lot of e-mails lately about taking the steps to weight loss.  I don’t know where all the new people popped up from, but I’m happy to have you here.  I’ve talked about the weight loss journey many times but I’m going to take a different approach to the topic today.  It’s an ever changing and growing process and I think I have something to add to the subject. So here is my first step to weight loss: Be confident. Embarking on a weight loss journey is physical and emotional.  It was the hardest and easiest thing…

Getting back on track

Getting back on track

It’s Monday! It’s the beginning of the new week and it’s time to start anew. Remember, there are good things about Mondays. There are a couple of things I have gotten away from that I think are very important and I don’t know why I stopped going them. The first thing is setting weekly and monthly goals. The monthly goal post was something I did regularly on the blog but I got away from it for some reason. Maybe I thought no one was interested in my goals or just thought it was a meaningless post…and that may actually be…

Five Things You Can Do to Lose Weight …

Five Things You Can Do to Lose Weight now

It’s not a hoax or whatever.  People often ask what we did to lose weight or how we got started.  The is a simply answer and long answer so I’m going to give you a clif notes version.  It starts with a few simple things that will help you develop healthier habits. Cut the soda.  This is where we started from day one.  There was no more soda to be had.  I really have no idea how many calories I was consuming just by drinking soda.  It’s a mindless habit but those soda cans add up to major calories.  Or…

Transformation Tuesday: Falling into running

Transformation Tuesday: Falling into running

I never thought I would be a runner. When we started our weight loss journey, I definitely didn’t think it would be something I would fall into or even love. I started running because I needed something a little bit more fast pace than walking and that slowly turned into a love for hitting the pavement. The only place I would run to before was the couch to catch the latest episode of my favorite show or to the kitchen table to eat. It’s sad to say, but that is the truth. I can’t really explain to you why the…

My site was hacked but I still worked out this week

Have you noticed that I haven’t been blogging?  Well it wasn’t my fault.  I scheduled out my posts but then a few days later I noticed that I wasn’t getting any comments or feedback on my posts.  Then I figured out that I was no longer in control of things happening with my site. I couldn’t login to change anything.  I was sad and I hoped that I wasn’t going to lose everything I had worked 3 years to build. I didn’t want to mention that I was locked out of my own site because I didn’t really know who…

The great thing about Mondays

The great thing about Mondays

Happy Monday everyone! Sometimes Mondays get a bad wrap because the day comes after the weekend, but it’s not always that bad.  The great thing about Mondays is it’s a time to start fresh and wipe the slate clean. Mondays are a day when I try to actually put together an outfit to wear. Here is what I’m sporting today and this has no place in the actual blog post but it’s fun, right? Monday is a day of reflection of what you accomplished the previous week and what you want to do in the upcoming week. The great thing…

Weight loss transformation begins with a choice

Weight loss transformation begins with a choice

Six years ago life was very different.  Sometimes it’s seems like things were simpler back then because I didn’t worry about having to make gym workouts and I didn’t care about what I ate. Dinner usually came from the drive through and nights were filled with pints of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. I was still always on the go but I wasn’t on the go to go run a marathon. There are a few things I’ve learned a long the way that I would like to share with you about the weight loss transformation. Transformation is a choice.  You have…

#TourDeAngie: Weight loss and alcohol.

Thursday night I made my trek to state #17, North Carolina, for the Tobacco Road Marathon which is tomorrow. I had a late flight and didn’t get to my hotel until after midnight because I lost an hour. Oh, did I forget to mention that I lost an hour and will lose another tomorrow due to DST? Oh well, at least the race starts later due to the time change. Yesterday I picked up my packet. I’m never available for first day packet pickup so I thought I should go. It was a small expo but it was nice. There…
