I never thought I would be a runner. When we started our weight loss journey, I definitely didn’t think it would be something I would fall into or even love. I started running because I needed something a little bit more fast pace than walking and that slowly turned into a love for hitting the pavement. The only place I would run to before was the couch to catch the latest episode of my favorite show or to the kitchen table to eat. It’s sad to say, but that is the truth. I can’t really explain to you why the… View Post

Have you noticed that I haven’t been blogging?  Well it wasn’t my fault.  I scheduled out my posts but then a few days later I noticed that I wasn’t getting any comments or feedback on my posts.  Then I figured out that I was no longer in control of things happening with my site. I couldn’t login to change anything.  I was sad and I hoped that I wasn’t going to lose everything I had worked 3 years to build. I didn’t want to mention that I was locked out of my own site because I didn’t really know who… View Post

I’m probably being too cautious with my recovery but I don’t want to be injured again where I shouldn’t be running.  That’s a very scary things.  I felt like I lost my best friend and I don’t like losing my best friends.  It hurts and it’s sad.  No more sad faces in my life. Sometime after leaving the gym yesterday and the ride home, I got sick. I’ve been down and out and haven’t been able to eat anything. I woke up this morning feeling a little bit out of whack but I’m hanging in there right now. Thank you to everyone sending me the well wishes. I think I’m on the mend. This past weekend, Willie and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. It’s hard to believe that we’ve been married for six years because a lot of things have changed. Our wedding anniversary coincides with what people are now calling our “get… View Post

I’ve had a nagging injury that I kept running on for about a month. I’m pretty sure it started off as a sprained ankle and then turned into something else. Resting wasn’t something I was interested in doing. I was able to finish the races I wanted to do so I said I would rest. On New Year’s Day, I ran a marathon. Things were going well until my ankle brace really compressed the tendon on the top of my foot. The last 3 miles I was forced to walk because that tendon was so swollen which caused some other… View Post
