It’s been really busy during this holiday season. I feel like we’re in a constant moving state. Last night, Willie said he missed meal prepping! Isn’t that kind of funny? He told me so I immediately wanted to spend some time meal prepping when we got home.
I made some ground chicken chili in the crockpot last night. I totally forgot about it until I woke up this morning to go to gym. Those crockpots are amazing things. I think everyone should have one. I think I’m going to start making more stuff in the crock pot so that I can freeze them for times when we don’t have tim full on meal prep. So it looks like we’re going to be eating a lot of chili this week. But Christmas is on the horizon so there will be lots of different foods to eat too.
Saturday morning I went for my first run since the double header weekend. It was a struggle. I know the pace doesn’t show the struggle but it was a struggle to get things going. On the upside, I found a new running route which made me happy. It was good to get out there to run again. I’m ready to get back into the full swing of things.
Saturday night I went painting. I really don’t like wasting money on these things because I’m not good at it. It’s supposed to be an ornament! It didn’t turn out as well as I would have hoped. It was a good time, minus the pepper spray incident that happened in the middle of the class.
This morning I got up to go to Group Power! I’m so glad that I did. I miss doing my strength training and I’m happy to get stronger. Willie suggests that I do another runner specific strength training plan which worked for him. I might try it out too.
I’ve been kind of lazy with my blogging lately and I do greatly apologize for that. I’ve been in a funk. I had a lot of down time last week which obviously doesn’t work for me. I just prefer to be busy because I feel like I can manage my time better. This week on the blog, I plan on sharing some lightened up holiday treats! I hope you look forward to reading it!
What are your plans for the holidays?
