NYC in 24 hours

What I LOVE about where I live

My city has gotten a horrible wrap lately with the school board issues and of course being placed on many lists: saddest cities in US and contender for most obese US city. Let’s have pumpkin pancakes for Labor Day

It’s Labor Day so we’re going to break away from our normal routine. We usually have eggs and oatmeal in our house for breakfast and it’s probably my most favorite meal of the day. But I think I found a good alternative a yummy alternative for my oatmeal fix. So let’s all have pumpkin pancakes tomorrow morning. My love for nutter butter

I love peanut butter. I can think of all kinds of combos that I love that involve peanut butter. My problem with peanut butter or any nut butter is the fat. Yes, it’s a good fat and beneficial to my health, but it’s really not something I’m comfortable eating everyday. My biggest craving in life is nut butter because I do love certain combinations. Life without my hubby…and some new food

Why I stopped logging my food

About a month ago I decided to stop logging my food. This was a hard decision for me because I’ve logged my food every day since we started our weight loss journey. Sabine Causeway 5K

Last night I went running with my friends! I almost missed this race because I was scheduled to go to Gulf Shores to be with my bestie. I hate that I’m missing out on the fun, BUT something serious came up that kind of made me stay in town. Running this race was a good alternative for not sitting by the pool right now. Easy weekday meal: Pork and apples

When we started our weight loss journey we had to cut a lot of foods from our diet, including red meat. We just don’t eat a lot of it around our house. We went on a serious campaign of fish, ground turkey and chicken and we ate these things everyday. It can get a little boring and monotonous.
