Happy Friday and thank you! How are you getting active this weekend?

Good mid-morning my readers.  I hope everyone is having a great day because it’s FRIDAY.  The weekend has arrived!  I was supposed to be in San Jose for Blogher but I had a little incident last weekend.  I thought it would be better on my pocket book if I stayed home this weekend.  It’s a bummer but I’ll be there next year.

Missed my 5am workout this morning cause I was tired but I still HIIT it up with #tiuteam workout. #fitfluential #sweatpink #toneitup #ffcheckin #training #workout

This morning I totally decided to sleep in because I felt tired so I missed my 5am workout, but I just finished a HIIT Tone It Up workout.  I’m going to take it easy on my workout today because tomorrow is the dreaded day of marathon training of the 20 miler. It’s been really hot this week so I hope I am able to pull it off.  I will go as far as the weather allows me to with this run.

I’ve also been nursing what I thought was hamstring strain but I know it’s not.  I think it’s just bruise that I got from the bike ride.  It’s only sensitive to the touch and nothing else.  It really doesn’t stop me from doing anything so I’m just starting to think it’s a bruise.

So what are your plans this weekend? How are you planning to get active?

My Team Chocolate Milk teammate Erika is doing her first IronMan this weekend.  Go send her some love and good wishes! Don’t be afraid to tweet her and let her know I sent you!

Yesterday something very exciting happened.  I registered for the Marine Corp Marathon in October.  This is exciting because I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the help of many people.  The amazing thing is I raised $435 in 7 days for Team Inspiration.  I will be running the race to support Team Inspiration.  The main goal of the non-profit is to help people who are battling serious illness still lead an active life.  The people that are helped by Team Inspiration are amazing and inspiring.  We’re talking ultra-marathoners, IronMan competitors and other serious endurance athletes. Thank you to everyone how gave money for this great cause and if you’re still interested in donating you can. Willie and I are also raising money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  Cancer is a BIG deal to us so helping out in anyway is much appreciated.

I”m also interested in the causes that are a big deal to my readers.  What’s the cause or charity you fully stand behind and why?
