Taking a break

Hello all.  I wanted to keep you update on my antics, just in case you don’t follow me on social media.  I’ve still been instagraming, snap chatting and tweeting but you may miss that if you’re not into the social media thing.

Taking a break

I’ve still been working out and sticking to my schedule.  Getting out and getting my exercise has been mone of the most important things in my life right now.  It’s been a major priority and just been trying to stick with a schedule.  And I’ve really been enjoying teaching my cycle classes this month.  Maybe it’s all the new fresh excitement in the gym.

Last Friday, I also attended the Texas Action for Healthy Kids Annual summit.  I know everyone thought I was just raising money for a marathon but I am really looking to be invloved with this charity.  I am laying the ground work right now and I can’t wait to see what is next.  It was really a great time and I learned a lot of information.

Which brings me to taking a break.  I’ve been blogging here for 3 years and I absolutely love it, but I need to take a short break.  A few days to let me clear my head and regroup.  I need to get back on track with my place on the web and I just need to get back to that and I feel the best way to do that is to not worry about this blog for a few days so I can move forward.  I need to clear my head. I have all these great ideas and things I want to do with this space. I want to get back to making my videos and cooking food and a lot of other things. I’m excited but just a little overwhelmed with life.

I promise…it’s just a few days. I am still here. Reach me on social media: Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. I’m always here to talk and answer questions.

The update on life blog

The update on life blog

I must apologize for my absence from the blog.  My life has gotten really crazy.  The responsible blogger thing would have been to stock pile post and have something already in the queue.  I like to blog organically and where as some posts are planned, I do most of my posts based on what I feel like is itching to be talked about that day.  Therefore, I haven’t been around.  Here is an explanation in this video: My mom had knee replacement surgery so any extra time I’ve had has been spent taking care of business.  The days have been…

The things I’m not…

The things I’m not…

It’s time for me to snap out of some things and I’m really trying to refocus the blog to where it needs to be.  I just finished reading The Happiness of Pursuit and the book has completely changed my world and I think it’s starting to change Willie’s world too.  My point: I want to be happy as much as I possibly can in life.  I understand that I will not be happy all moments of my life but that doesn’t mean that it has to be a complete downer. I can only be the person I am. I can’t…

So all you do is run, right?

So all you do is run, right?

Every once and a while I get an e-mail asking me if I have “fun” because it always seems like I’m working out or running. The past two weeks have been filled with these types of e-mails so I thought this would be a great time to blog about this kind of stuff. I know it seems like I only workout or run but there is more to me than that.  This is a blog about losing 200 pounds and staying active.  My blog focus is to show people that you can do it without a fad or pill and…

The Fitbloggin’ Update

The Fitbloggin’ Update

Hello from Fitbloggin in Savannah. It was really rough getting here but I know that it was totally worth all the trouble. My flight was delayed last night so I arrived in Atlanta at 2:10 am and I was tired.  Everyone was sleeping in the airport. I couldn’t find a spot but luckily there was a spot left for me.  Not that I got much sleep because it’s kind of hard to sleep in the airport.  People constantly walking around, clean crews, construction…all that doesn’t make much time for sleep.  I did the best I could. Around 5:15am things started…

Why do I blog?

Why do I blog?

The short answer to the question: I choose to blog because I’m asked a ton of questions every day about what we did, how we do it and how has it changed our life. By blogging, the story, the experience and my daily life will be here for people to read or not read. The lifestyle change journey is long and continues every day and sometimes people do want a detailed account of what we did to make it work. Others sometimes just want the short version so the blog gives everyone what they want. Blogging is hard because it’s…
