I am making changes

I am making changes.  I’ve been hanging out without a plan for too long so now it’s time to change.  It’s ok to not have a plan, but I know I need a plan to get back on track.

Before I get too far into this post, I want to tell you about the biggest change I’ve made.  Yesterday during the Super Bowl, I finally dropped my podcast.  Back in the day, I did podcasting before it cool and I talked about Gossip Girl.  This time around I’ll be talking self-improvement, weight loss, and some other things.  My co-host of We Beat Fat (yes, the name is back) is Willie so it should be a good discussion. I’m not A++ about talking about weight loss on the blog because my journey included so much more than just the number on the scale.  This is a great way to encompass a lot of different things in a format that just makes more sense.

I haven’t been posting stuff on the blog because I’ve been trying to get things ready for the podcast.  A lack of time to get it started stalled me but I’m glad that it’s finally getting done.  Now, I just need to work on my videos.  Right now, I’m just wanting to do one video a week.  What kind of topics would like to hear me discuss on the podcast and videos?

But here are the real changes I’m looking to make:

  1. I have let organization go out the window in the new year.  I was trying something new but not having every aspect of life planned out and not really setting goals.  It’s been cool for a little bit but now I’m ready to get back on track.  I need to pull out that calendar and start writing things down.
  2. I haven’t really been prepping food which has led to a lot of eating out.  I have no problems eating out but my life was so much better when I prepped food.  When I haven’t been prepping food for myself, that also means I haven’t been prepping for Tiny Tot.  It’s been rough.  There was one week when I prepped everything and things went so smoothly.  It was great.  I didn’t ride the food prep smooth high because I started making excuses on why I shouldn’t meal prep.  Needless to say, my eating hasn’t been awesome and I want to get back to a better place.  I don’t want this to slide too far.
  3. Eating better and cleaner I hope will lead to better marathon time.  I have committed to running the Flying Pig Marathon in May.  Yes, I am committing to running another marathon which is going to make time even harder for me.  I will make this work because I am interested in collecting a new state for my quest. I’ve gotten a running coach and I’m looking forward to making some changes inside and out. Here’s to a faster marathon time in the future.
  4. I want to work on just improving in aspects of life that are lacking: positivity, gratitude, generosity, and just being a good person.  This is hard but it’s something I want to tackle and is probably the most important thing at this moment.

I’m starting this podcast and I would like to know what topics you want to be discussed.  I am open to any subjects it doesn’t have to be weight loss related.  Weight loss was just the catalyst to the things I’ve learned but I think there were other helpful to keeping the weight off.  I am open to ideas.  If I just talk about weight loss, things will be limited.

What topics would like to be discussed on the podcast?
