It’s holiday time but you still need to stay fit

I walked into a store last Saturday and they were playing Christmas carols.  I had to think to myself, “wasn’t it just Halloween?”  I guess we’re completely giving up on Thanksgiving this year in lieu of the other holidays. My plan is to come up with some dishes that you can share around the holiday table without blowing out your calories.  This is something Willie and I will work on together so it will appear on both blogs.  But today I want to talk about overindulging in the holiday goodness. I know it’s the holidays and  you should enjoy it.… View Post

Friday happys for a Happy Friday

This week I haven’t really be into anything.  My mind is on Denver next week which kind of made this week kind of blah for me. I haven’t been motivated to do much so I’ve kind of just been off.  I probably just needed a little a reality break though.  I’ve still done my weekly workouts and celebrated birthdays so that’s been a major positive.  It’s just been a really down week as far as enthusiasm but not in spirit.  I’ve been hanging in there LIKE A BOSS! Eating healthy is always a struggle and… View Post

Flexitarian, that’s what I am.

Most people won’t eat a meal without an animal based protein, I am not one of those people. I will admit I tried the vegetarian thing and it worked out really great but I was a little low energy. When people asked me why I chose to go vegetarian they didn’t seem to like my answer. I just don’t eat a lot of meat. Vegetarianism is something I see is popular among the people who are on a weight loss journey. I think people associate meat with being overweight. It’s something stuck in people’s head. I chose to go vegetarian… View Post

Everyone wants to know what we eat for lunch

*This post is not sponsored or paid for by any entity.  It may seem like we are pushing Healthy Choice meals here, but we’re not.  This is just something we found and loved on our weight loss journey.  You will always be notified before reading a post if it is paid and/or sponsored. This is the most frequently asked question from blog readers and every day people. I wish I could share something amazing with you, but just don’t have it to share.  I cook two meals a day most days and lunch really isn’t one of those meals.  I… View Post
