Good afternoon, everyone! I’m keeping my blogging streak alive. I barely got it done yesterday, but I’m still blogging strong today. This whole thing has me really excited and it’s really stretching my thought process for the blog. There have been some days it’s been hard to come up with something to blog about but I’ve come through in the pinch. I will only blog every day until the new year. This is just an exercise is helping me get into the routine of blogging. I will go back to this when I need to do it.
It’s been a rough week for me because I’m trying to build new routines. I woke up early every day this week to get my workout done because it just works better for my schedule. And now that I’m not a running schedule, I still need to structure. Yesterday, I went to Group Power for the first time in 6 months. Today, I can’t really move. I’m suffering from DOMS so bad.
I also must have tweaked my back yesterday because I couldn’t move and it hurt so bad. I couldn’t really lay down and I can’t turn my body. I really took my life in my own hands today driving because I couldn’t turn to look at my blind spots. Luckily I was reminded that I got a back massager last Christmas that I never used but I broke that sucker out of the box last night.
This morning I didn’t want to work out, but I know I still had to do my mile. I was feeling a bit down and I really didn’t want to be around people. It was just a weird morning. I just didn’t feel like exercising. I was just tired and feeling lazy.
There was a Santa Fun Run for CASA that I really wanted to bail on, and I could have made every excuse not to go. But I sucked it up to go and had a really great time. It’s a great organization that places kids in good homes.
I’m glad that I just made myself go because it changed everything about my day. Plus, it was the first time I’ve run since the marathon. I ran a pretty good time for not running in weeks. I ran three miles in 35 minutes.
I then stopped at Dunkin Donuts to try an Iced macchiato. If you order an expresso drink
What does your Saturday look like?
