Just work it out

Excuse me as I take a moment for a personal message.  I’ve been thinking about what my message should be to the world.  I asked people what they thought the message I was conveying through Instagram.  I don’t know why this has become so important to me, but I’ve been a little more conscious about what I’m putting out there.  I’ve been struggling to find my voice or even hone in on my message. I have things I want to do and things I want to share with the world.

You might think I have my s#!t together, but I don’t.  I have days where I’m completely overwhelmed and I cry.  There are days I feel like I lack motivation and that I’m making all the wrong decisions. There are other days that I feel like I’m the best person in the world and I have complete control over everything. Maybe I don’t show enough of my world to let you know that things are chaotic and crazy yet perfect and satisfying at the same time.

I’ve just learned to just work it out.

I talk about goals and making plans, but I set my goals without knowing when or how or what to do or how it’s going to happen.  I’ve learned to just work it out because the beauty of it all is in the journey.

I set out to lose weight without really knowing what a balanced meal really looked like.  We still out Tyson chicken fingers out of the frozen section but paid attention to portion sizes.

I ran my first race without knowing to expect.  I had never run more than three miles before but I set out to run 13.1 miles not knowing how long it was going to take or what I should be doing.  It wasn’t pretty but I finished that race which was the catalyst for me really learning about endurance running and the things you should do along the way.

Just work it out.  Figure out the details in the journey because DONE IS BETTER THAN PERFECT. Starting something is better than not doing anything at all.

I know I haven’t been working hard to perfect my message and get that out into the world.  My message is: you can do the things you want to do!  There is nothing standing in your way but yourself.  You need to find YOUR ways to just work it out and make it work for you.

Do you want to start a business?  Find your idea and get to work on it.  Do you want to travel the world?  Make a list of the places you want to go and start planning YOUR trip to the first place.  Do you want to lose weight?  Get up 10 minutes earlier and go for a walk.  My point is all of these things happen with action.  Just work it out and don’t over think it!

There’s nothing complicated here.  There’s no list for me to run down for you.  If you want to make something happen, it all starts with action.  Nothing should stand in your way of accomplishing the things you want to get done. There is always a way to just make it work.  You may have to dig a little deeper, stay up a little later, wake up a little earlier, talk to people you might despise, read a few more books, work a lot harder, and/or make some compromises.  But those shouldn’t be the things that stop you from achievement.

Just work it out!

What is one thing you’ve always wanted to do but never did?  What is standing in your way?
