Find your passion

The other day I did a Facebook Live to answer questions about weight loss and what not.  If you missed it, I’m sorry but you can go back to watch it.  Someone asked a question about my motivation to keep going and answered about beginning with the end in mind.  This got me thinking a little deeper about what motivates me to do what I do.

I found my passions. It’s easy to be motivated when I found something that I love to do.  I fell in love with running and it gave me something to work towards.  Running gave me the time to think to about some other passions, too.

I always want to be better than I was the day before, even if it’s a small change.  If I can run a little bit longer if I can run a bit faster, or even just improving my form is what I’m striving for every day.

Running isn’t for everyone and I don’t want anyone to think I’m pushing running on you.  I talk about my running with others to encourage people to find their passion.

Find that thing that is going to light a fire in your life.

Finding your passion will change your world.  It will give you something to focus on.  It will give you something to work on and perfect.  It will provide you with your greatest joys and challenges in your life. It will give you something to wake up for every day and want to keep looking forward.  Your passion will ignite your life and will open up new opportunities in your life.

Running isn’t my only passion but it’s opened up so many doors for me.  Running has allowed me to find out that I do want to help people achieve their hopes and dreams.  I want to make people think.  I want to inspire and motivate others.  Losing the weight, interacting with the worldwide running community, and writing my blog lead me to want to help people.

I want to have a voice and I want to make a difference.  It’s another one of my motivations to keep going forward on my journey.

Don’t look to anyone else to tell you what your “thing” is in life.  It lives inside of you and no one will know better than yourself.  I encourage you to find your passion and see where it takes you.  Take the leap and do something that you love.  Find ways to shape your passion into something that will last a lifetime.

Our greatest enemy is our own mind so don’t rob yourself of something because you don’t think you’re capable of doing it or it’s just slightly out of reach.  With anything in life, the good things are worth working for and this is the time for you to put in the work to DEVELOP your passion.

This will not be the first time I talk about finding your passion.  This post is just the prelude.  I encourage you to stop and think about the things that move your heart.  Find the things that make you think.  What is it that you love to do?

Have you found your passion or are you still searching?
