Monday Motivation: Take the challenge

Happy Monday everyone!  I’ve been trying to catch up on blog business so I can get back to do what I love.  It’s been a life-changing year for me and just when I thought I have my crap together, something else pops up. It’s all been a challenge but that’s what life is about, right?

I encourage everyone to take on the challenge.  Don’t let the challenge knock you down.  Face it head on, tackle the challenge, and overcome the challenge.

There are plenty of people out there in the world who tell say, “you shouldn’t, you can’t, you don’t have time, you won’t succeed” but those words are not absolute.  Every person is different which means every situation is going to be different.  Those words will not define you and you shouldn’t let those words hold you back.

A challenge is a challenge for a reason.  A challenge is meant to push you out of your comfort zone.  A challenge is meant to make you think; to make you look at things from a different perspective.  A challenge is meant to make you better in one way or another.

Take the challenge.  Don’t let the challenge scare you.

It’s the holiday season and everyone is fearful of the holiday weight gain.  Maybe people really aren’t worried about the holiday weight gain, but it’s just something that people talk about during this time to scare you into eating right and not over indulging.  People want to scare you away from Christmas cookies and having a good time at holiday parties.

Let’s all take on the challenge to not let that stuff get in our heads and ruin the holiday season.  This is the time to challenge yourself to do something for yourself, to make an improvement. I am taking on the challenge to do something better for myself.  I’m taking on the arm challenge because I miss having toned arms.  I hope to set up my own We Beat Fat challenge for January, but for now, I’m doing other people’s challenges.  Last month, I did Planksgiving and it did wonders for me.

There might be a little one who wants to make sure the arm challenge is the best challenge ever. I am setting a good example for her and she’ll grow up knowing that a healthy lifestyle will be a good way of life. And she’ll have a momma with some banging arms, right?

My point is: find something that will challenge you and push you to the next level and do it. Don’t think about it, just do it!

What challenges are you going to take on this month?
