#TourdeAngie resumes with Snickers

Hello all! I think I am ready to make my return to blogging. I have been going through a lot of things lately but I think I need to just come back. There will never be a right time and my mind will never really be free of stress. These are probably the moments that I need to be blogging.

New car, straight hair, and a road trip. On my way to collect a new state. Georgia it's going down this weekend at the Snickers Marathon. #tourdeangie #teamhealthykids #teamnuun #weightlossjourney #webeatfat #werunsocial #travelgram #roadtrip #marathonman

Yesterday, I hit the road for Georgia. Thank goodness for having friends that live at the half way point of life. I was able to drive halfway yesterday and finish it up today. I will be making the full drive back on Sunday so please keep me in your thoughts.

I also got my hair did this week.  I was tired of having clown hair so I did something about it.  That’s a whole other blog post for next week.  The struggle is real and it’s worth talking about.

I arrived here in Albany, GA this afternoon. Let me tell you, this trip was filled with the back roads of Florida and Georgia. AND I completely forgot about the time change. I knew I would change time but it just kind of slipped my mind. I guess I’ll be prepared for next weekend too.

Snickers Marathon

I went to pick up my race packet not too long ago and there was a ton of Snickers swag. I’m actually really surprised. I even heard people talking about the post race snickers stuff too. This should be very interesting. Someone has already taking possession of all of my snickers swag so I’m sorry I can’t share. I’m not a huge fan but I did have a snickers mini today.

You know what that means?  Tomorrow I am going after state #16 with Georgia.  I bailed out of the RnR New Orleans marathon for this reason so I’m looking for a good result.  I was super hard on myself this week for that, but I know it was for a better reason.  I am on a quest to run the 50 states and that is what is important to me right now.  The quest continues.

So what are my race day goals?  I think I really need to get back to this.

A Goal: To finish.  I’m not going to be super picky about this because that just seems to be the theme of this year.  Plus, I haven’t run a lick this week for my hair reasons.

B Goal: To not get dehydrated.  This seems to be an on-going problem right now because we seemed to have skipped a season this year and it’s a bit warmer.  There was no winter; we went straight to spring and I don’t like it.  I like cold weather running because it’s made for PRs but none of that is happening this year.

C Goal: To finish and be able to walk around to enjoy the Mardi Gras festival at the end.  I don’t want to come out injured or anything because I’m going for state #17 next weekend.  Gotta play it smart.

Those are my goals for this race.  I’m really looking forward to running this race and seeing what this city has to offer.  You know my preferred way to see the city is on foot and this is going to be a great opportunity.

What are you doing this weekend?
